The GMAT and the optimal GMAT preparation
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is one of the most important admission criteria used not only by leading national and international MBA programs, but also increasingly by other master’s and undergraduate degree programs. The GMAT is a very sophisticated, standardized test. It not only tests your skills in verbal (linguistic) and quantitative (math) areas, but also tests your ability to remain calm under pressure and your resilience. The GMAT is a computer-based test. This means that the nearly 4 hour long GMAT CBT is completed on a computer in a test center. The paper-based GMAT was abolished several years ago.
The GMAT-Test consists of:
- two 30 minute essays (Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)): Analysis of an Argument and Analysis of an Issue
- a 75 minute mathematical portion with 37 questions (GMAT Quantitative Section, Multiple-Choice)
- a 75 minute linguistic part with 41questions (GMAT Verbal Section, Multiple-Choice)
Der GMAT-Test (neues Format) ab 5. Juni 2012
Ab 5.
